In April, twelve students went to California to attend the Loma Linda Mini Maker Faire. This faire focuses on stimulating and inspiring creative minds through Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts, Math & Service (S.T.R.E.A.M.S.).

The goal is to: “Inspire and develop the next generation of makers, creators, and innovators.”

Students engaged with artists, engineers, pilots, cooks, firefighters, woodworkers, quilters, botanists, musicians, chemists, and more!

Be it through robots, listening to live music, or playing life-size board games, our students had the opportunity to experience learning in a whole new way!

And of course, we could not travel to California without a beach day. Many of our students have never been to the ocean before, and watching them experience it for the first time is a thrill.

Your support of HIS gives students these lifelong memories, an excitement for learning, and opportunities to expand their worldview. Thank you for making it possible!
