Content Acquisitions and Social Media Coordinator

Summary of School: Holbrook SDA Indian School (HIS) is a first- through 12th-grade Christian boarding academy for Native American youth. HIS also manages Chinle Elementary a day-school for first- through 12th-grade students in Chinle,  Arizona on the Navajo reservation. HIS is operated by the Pacific Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventist Church and is the North American Division’s only Boarding Academy for Native American children and youth. Our vision is to restore in HIS students the image of our Creator and to provide a safe place for our students to live, learn, and grow in Christ.

Summary of Job: The Content Acquisitions and Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for planning, writing, and publishing various types of content for Holbrook Indian School’s web pages, articles, grants, and social media posts. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Produce marketing copy to advertise our school

  • Write blog posts and articles in various publications

  • Develop, implement, and manage social media accounts

  • Editor of HIS monthly newsletter

  • Organize online giving campaigns (#GivingTuesday)

  • Measure web traffic to content

  • Collaborate with our marketing team for various projects

  • Photograph and film school-related events for promotion

  • Other duties as assigned 

Conditions of Employment: 

Candidates must be members in good standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and will be subject to a background check. Candidates must possess the legal right to work in the United States and may be subject to a trial period.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Journalism or relevant field preferred

  • Experience in Indesign, Lightroom, and other related programs

  • Working-knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social media best practices

  • Experience in web design and publishing

  • Excellent writing and editing skills in English


Content Acquisitions and Social Media Coordinator reports to the Director of Development. The right candidate will be a compassionate, mission-minded team player with a desire to serve God by utilizing the skills outlined in this job description.

This is a full-time, hourly position. Minimum 36 hours per week. Wages will be determined based on experience.
