GARDEN LAB

building a greenhouse classroom for students to “grow” and learn

Daniel Nicholls, agricultural director, did not have a classroom per se. He had a room that he occasionally used if was too cold or too wet outside or when he had to do some instruction. Since October 2021, he has now had a dedicated space that combines teaching and practice for our students. Although the project is fully funded and the structure is up and running, Daniel is still developing the garden lab and looking to turn his final vision into a reality.

Project Updates

The new garden lab classroom space is complete. Mr. Nicholls has been adding furniture piece by piece, such as tables for nursery pots, benches, and other items.

Thank you for your support in helping to make this new classroom space a reality for our students! If you would like to learn more about the Agriculture program at HIS and ways to support, click here.

Support Holbrook’s Agriculture Program

The garden lab classroom may be finished, but a lot is required to keep our Agriculture program and farm running for our students. We continue to rely on the support of donors like you to cover recurring costs like seeds, fertilizer, and potting soil. None of this would be possible without your help!
