In the desert, buildings—especially rooftops—tend to wear down a lot faster than in rural or urban areas. Our girls’d dorm roof was a good example. Patch after patch lead to water leaks throughout the dorm. With the help of some generous friends of HIS and the crew from Red Dirt Construction, we were able to replace the entire roof on the girls’ dorm in June of this year (2025).

We received approximately $123,000 towards the project, which was a much needed repair. We are excited to know that our girls’ deans and students won’t have to nagivate water leaks this next school year. Thank you, generous friends and Red Dirt Construction!
